This year I decided to join an inktober challenge. It's 31 days drawing challenge. My theme was called "The dark night of the soul". All the artworks are inspired by the things that happened to me this year. It's been something that is really meaningful to me personally because this year was one of the darkest times of my life (losing one of my dream projects to someone else, losing some long-term friendships, and fighting covid at the same time). I feel like life was beating me up mentally, emotionally, and physically. In those times, I've learned that the darkness is necessary because only in the darkness I will find more courage and strength that I didn't know I have, I found a real connection with the right people, emotional intelligence, pieces of knowledge, and most importantly I can find truth about myself. It's like being self-awakening. It also gives more faith that no matter how long the dark is haunting, the light will come just like the changes of day and night. We don't have any doubts that the morning will come eventually because it always does. So does hope. Some pains are actually a healing process. It felt like dying but it's actually a rebirth.
