The dark wood

Hello, I'm Dian Pu. I'm an illustrator and an artist from Indonesia. I love to spend my time making illustration. My passion for drawing has started since I was a kid, I used to draw on my parent’s home wall and they would let me be. I love playing with color palette based on my mood. Illustration for me is to express myself and to find comfort & peace. Whenever I need it, I would just grab a pencil and paper or ipad and just draw anything what I'm feeling. It has healing effect for my mind. I'm a self-taught artist. I also like to visualize my imagination through storytelling. I mostly found inspirations from my life journey and story, hope and dreams, feelings, random thoughts, other people's stories, nature or things that interest me. This is one of my artwork. It's about one of my biggest dream which is to discover my true-self or the highest authentic-self. By becoming more self-aware and being honest with myself. The daffodil flowers represents a new beginning and rebirth. The door represents an entry to the world of the wild self. Red is the color that represented courage. A courage to be yourself and telling your own story. The little stars represented an inner guidance. The butterfly is a representation of being free by letting go all the ghost from the past and step into a daylight. So my hope for me is to keep growing authentically.
