Beirut - Beirut Governorate - Lebanon
No rest nor respect... even for the dead. You can feel the significance by walking in this desecrated cemetery nearby the explosion that shook our nation. This was supposed to be the last departure place where future generations wouldn't have to worry about them anymore... But we now have to. This was supposed to be the final resting place where they tried to leave us with a better future... But they didn't. The past; not forgotten, but looming around in cold and dark crypts. Lessons learned from past lives not necessarily directly imparted in life but indirectly hinted at and implied in death. Epiphanies and subsequent wisdom made a little too late. It seems this past always has a way to creep up on us and woke the dead again from the ultimate slumber to remind us that we should change our ways, change their and our inherited convictions, or else we'll be shaken and won't know peace like them... Even in death. Thank you for your reminder.
