In February 2020, I had just come back to France from New York and getting by in Paris thinking I could easily, hopefully make something of myself. So I would go to this café-bar near the Luxembourg gardens and people watch while I jobsearched. This photo was shot as the place was getting ready for dinner time so the lights were lit and the cutlery set. The man sits alone on the bar stool drinking his drink or his coffee, I don't know, probably chatting with whoever was behind the bar.
