In 2014, I planned, styled, and created one thought-provoking photograph per week, inspired by a song. A project that I entitled, 52weeks 52songs. I selected the songs based on the significance they played at different points in my life. I was inspired by my desire to translate those songs and moments into photographs, capturing the image they created in my mind. The project created a nuanced collection of 52 photographs each telling a different story on the journey of becoming me. This photo is related to the song 'Crystal' by New Order. One of the first times that I listened to this song was during one of my favorite holidays, it was in the capital of the UK, London at one of the Virgin's stores in Piccadilly Circus. It was at that moment when I fell in love with the English culture, its tradition, its lifestyle, etc. But one of the most important things about these holidays was that they were one of the last ones with my mom.
