In 2014, I planned, styled, and created one thought-provoking photograph per week, inspired by a song. A project that I entitled, 52weeks 52songs. I selected the songs based on the significance they played at different points in my life. I was inspired by my desire to translate those songs and moments into photographs, capturing the image they created in my mind. The project created a nuanced collection of 52 photographs each telling a different story on the journey of becoming me. This photo is related to the song 'Fly Away' by Lenny Kravitz. Sometimes, 'I wish that I could fly...Into the sky... So very high...' If I just could rise my arms and fly away, how amazing would be that! Or maybe I just need a holidays.
