Man in black and red jacket holding brown wooden stick

The Scandinavian pilgrimage is known as 'St. Olavsleden', is a 580km route that goes from the Baltic Sea in the East to the Atlantic Ocean in the West, from Selånger in Sweden to Trondheim in Norway. This trail is the Scandinavian equivalent of the El Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Along the way, you follow the footsteps of the Viking Olav Haraldsson, from his attempt to Christianize the Vikings in Norway, to his death during the Battle of Stiklestad and his later canonization at the Nidaros cathedral in Trondheim, where the pilgrims after collecting their stamps can get their diploma also called the Olav’s letter. This trail is gaining more and more popularity among hiking lovers. This year, the route was walked by people from more than 32 countries.
