I shot these in Torup natural reserve in south of Sweden, late autumn 2020. They kind of resemble the dark, wet, gray feeling that 2020 carried with it. So much healing has been going on... Don't know where to start. Been looking at the deepest and darkest corners of myself. Not much else to do when you're isolated. But i still think these pics are beautiful... The smell of rotting leaves in a rainy forest is something i'll never forget. I love to smell these smells, and i remember them forever. It reminds me of the circle of life, that things does come to an end, to be renewed, recycled and reborn. It's a painful process for us humans, but nature does not seem to complain. Nature seems to like it. That's the feeling i got when i meditated in the forest, to the forest autumn it's like taking a shower when you're really dirty. Highly recommend meditating in the forest. I also highly recommend doing some shadow-work. This spiritual stuff is not all love and light. I've applied photo-scanned grain from Ilford hp5 and tweaked the look so it has that washed-out analog feeling.
