Impressions of the Hambach opencast mine near Cologne / Germany and the protests against the deforestation of the Hambach Forest. A protest camp was set up and the movement to preserve the Hambach Forest remained alive. In October 2019, the ongoing protest finally reached the stop of the further penetration of the lignite excavators towards the forest and an end to the deforestation of the Hambach forest was reached.
