London in Lockdown Dec 2020. I've never seen my city so quiet, it was eerie. I realised that the trouble with this past year is that I haven't spent enough time in my 'zone' and I needed to find it. London is magical in December and one of my favourite things to do it to wander around taking photos of the Christmas windows and lights. Even the mannequins have stories to tell. So I drove to Regent's Park, put 3 hours in the parking meter and pointed myself towards the centre of town with the aim of seeing how far I could get with my 50mm and mask before there were too many people. There weren't too many people at any point. But I did relocate my zone, losing track of time completely, eventually legging it back from Piccadilly to Regent's Park in record time, arriving with exactly one minute to spare.
