I was motivated by the my passion to capture photographs, especially in my city Kolkata, which is known for its aesthetic beauty. This year Durga Pujo is not going to be the same but the zeal of Kolkata has not died. I wanted to capture that zeal of the artisans of the famous Kumortuli of West Bengal, Kolkata, in the making of the idols for Durga Pujo 2020 amidst the pandemic.
