An Asian lady holding up a George Floyd placard in Union square, New York as part of the BLM protest 2020 #Harpercollins I took this image to capture the heartbeat of that moment in time in 2020, when the streets were rife with black life matter protests by all races calling out the injustices and demanding change to protect and honor human life regardless of the color of their skin. To me, it was interesting that this was happening all in 2020 because 2020 helped me have a renewed outlook on life to appreciate loved ones, friendships and humanity, and how we take for granted the simple freedoms we have in life, and to stand up and help each other. A few months down the line in 2021, Fresh protests against The violence against Asian American's were held in this same Union square to demand Justice and protection of Asian American's. "Divided we fall United we stand"
