These photos had been taken for Therisha Santos's undergrad thesis at York University, who also happens to be my girlfriend. A photography strobe was set up with an umbrella light modifier in the studio, creating this unidirectional light. Her thesis explores the physical and psychological vulnerability in regards to mental health issues. Without the need for exaggerated gestures or expressions, what was captured-- what had remained was the raw feeling of tenderness and vulnerability.
