White cherry blossom in bloom

I took these pictures of white, pink or red flowers of Japanese apricot, Prunus mume, in a chilly but sunny winter morning in Tokyo. There are several well-maintained plum orchards and botanical gardens in Tokyo metropolitan area. People in Japan love flowers of Japanese apricot and enjoy "Plum Hunting" or plum-blossom-viewing excursion in winter when flowers are less than other seasons.
