These dahlias of various colors and species are grown in a dahlia-focused botanical garden located in Machida-city, one of the large residential/commercial suburban towns in western Tokyo. The garden is managed by a social welfare corporation supporting handicapped persons and has a vast collection of dahlias, approximately 500 species. Plants are taken care well with devotion and love. This is one of my favorite places where I can easily lose sense of time despite steaming hot summer weather in Japan.
