A series of pictures about a church in Hamra, Beirut that turns into another country on Sundays. In these photographs I’m showing how important the day off is to migrant workers in Lebanon, and what happens inside of it. I have chosen the title “ Salamat “ in which it means “ thank you “ in Tagalog for many reasons. To say thank you to all the migrant workers for working hard, and thank you for being strong despite all the difficulties, and thank you for your kindness and dedication. Also, thank you to all the employers who respect migrant workers and respecting their days off and treating them like humans.
