Atlanta - Georgia - United States
At the beginning of the Pandemic shut down, I was sitting in the Hartsfield Jackson Airport in Atlanta Georgia. The airport was so empty and it possessed this eerie energy, as if something bad was on the horizon. The flight I was about to board was heading to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and there was less than 20 people getting ready to get on this flight. Right before we stared our boarding process, I grabbed my camera and started capturing the moments happening.I took a photo of the completely empty airport before me. I look up from my camera, and see a this little boy looking at the same thing. He kind of looked frozen in time. What I realized in that moment was, he would not remember this pandemic the same as his mother or the other adults in his life. This time of his life, he will remember that he didn't have to go to school much and that he wasn't able to play with his friends anymore in the afternoons or on the weekends. He will remember the amount of quality time that he was able to spend with his family. He will remember all the home cook meals, creative activities and family movie nights. What he doesn't know is the amount of worry and stress that the rest of the world is experiencing, that his parents are experiencing. This certian part of life that has been so stressful and taboo for most of us, will be a very distant memory for a lot children. How will their lives will be affected from this virus, no one truthfully knows. The one thing we are certain of is that they will be affected somehow.
