These photographs were taken on a night of protesting in the Houston TX area. I wanted to go out with just my camera, no mounted flash or heavy equipment, and capture the raw, "unready", and personal aspect of the protest. This was the other side, not expressed on social media. The officers were caught off guard, and the people were unrelenting in their pursuit of reaching their destination. Chants were being made and the communities were coming out to line the streets and cheer the protestors on. It was such a raw moment.
