Gray concrete statue under blue sky

This is the Tian Tan Buddha. Located on Lantau Island in Hong Kong, this bronze statue is one of the five large Buddhas of China. The figure stands at a magnificent 34 meters tall, weighs over 250 tons, and is truly a sight to behold. It took 12 years to build and construction was completed in December 1993.
