shot represents the human caress that was lacking during the period of lockdown, and the abandoned and lonely, fragile people who died without the contact of loved ones. Itook this photo in my house during the lockdown period in Italy. The photo was born in a difficult moment, because I was at home with my father, who needed care, and we were alone with our fears. In this period, we still didn't know exactly how we could get infected. It was not easy to take care of a fragile person while trying to limit contact, which, although essential, left a trail of worries. The anti-COVID health provisions limited and still limit the presence of family members with a sick person in the hospital-this was my greatest fear, which fortunately did not happen. So while I was assisting my father, holding his hand, I wanted to capture this moment. Irealized the luckI had despite the discomfort we were experiencing, to be able to caress him in a moment of great fragility even if only while wearing a latex glove, aware that for many others this was not possible. I titled this shot of mine The Human Caress, which still seems difficult to exchange today.
