Yaoundé - Centre Region - Cameroon
During a long stay in Europe in 2014-2015 (in Paris for work), I had trouble finding my way around because I found all the streets so similar! So I started using Google Maps, and I was amazed by the amount of photos available, which not only helped me find my way around, but also helped me discover good spots (restaurants, parks, gyms, etc.), as well as directions and other information. Back in my home country of Cameroon, I noticed how difficult it was for tourists and even locals to find my way around. I also realized that Google Maps didn't provide enough information about Cameroon or good spots (restaurants, cafes, parks, zoos, etc.). So I decided to become a Google Local Guide. Today, I'm a level 8 Google Local Guide, and my photos on Google Maps have accumulated over 4,500,000 views. As I contributed to Google Maps, my passion for photography grew, and I began filming a little bit of everything, using just my phone, and occasionally a friend's Nikon Cooplix L330 DSLR, which I share on various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). This growing love of photography also gave rise to a love for nature, travel, and ecotourism, to the point where I'm now considering making it my career, starting by creating a canoe trip on the Nyong River (approximately 690 km long in Cameroon). I'm still looking for partners and capital.
