I am an abstract expressionist painter living in New York City who never had interest in portraiture. But during the time of Covid-19, spurred on by a visitation dream from my late sister, I began to paint larger than life size 7 foot portraits of friends and family, surrounding myself with loved ones while isolating myself all alone in my studio/home. All alone, these paintings kept me company and brought me a lot of comfort to have them around.
