In 2014, I planned, styled, and created one thought-provoking photograph per week, inspired by a song. A project that I entitled, 52weeks 52songs. I selected the songs based on the significance they played at different points in my life. I was inspired by my desire to translate those songs and moments into photographs, capturing the image they created in my mind. The project created a nuanced collection of 52 photographs each telling a different story on the journey of becoming me. This photo is related to the song 'globe treckker' from the soundtrack of the TV show 'Loney Planet'. As far as I remember, there was something inside of me that made me think that I didn't belong to the country where I was born. So, when I had the chance I tried to find jobs in different places. This song was always in my 'Discman', in the single and only backpack that I always carried with me, wherever I was traveling. It has been a few years now...and this week it turned a year since I finally left my country. Sincerely I still don't feel I have reached my final destination, but there is still a whole world to discover and the journey has just begun.
