Sirmione is a tiny little gem on the top of a peninsula in the beautiful lake Garda, in the North of Italy. It is one of Europe's most important health centre as it features two main thermal baths, Terme di Catullo and Terme di Virgilio, which were discovered by the Romans about 100 years B.C. The origin of the thermal waters is meteoric, springing about 40 km away and 2 km below sea level where they are enriched with minerals and heat.
