Japanese chef preparing food

This series of photos wants to emphasise the different scenarios in Japan during a two week holiday through the biggest island, Honshu. The main cities explored in this series are Tokyo, Takayama, Kanazawa, Kyoto and Hiroshima. All of them have their own personality and particularities, which I hope people can notice in every snap. The reason I am sharing these photos is to explore with everyone the deep essence of Japanese culture through my eyes and to show what differs this country from others. All pictures where taken between March and April 2019, during the famous period of the cherry blossom - Sakura. In Japan, Sakura is a richly symbolic event, celebrated with many festivals and also various forms of art, such as manga, anime or folk songs. From cityscapes, street views, famous landmarks to more rural, remote and traditional places I hope people could travel with their eyes through mine.
