Walking along the coast I found this awesome cove where the waves would break on the rocks below. I showed up only to capture the sunset when another fellow photographer approached me and asked if I was getting set up for the Milky Way tonight. He informed me that it would be very visible tonight and that this would be a prime location. So I literally stayed in this exact same spot for 6 hours to get this photo. Every hour the Milky Way would get a little higher in the sky and it really made me notice the rotation of our planet. It's funny how sitting under the stars for hours can make everything seem so simple yet complex at the same time.
